Oxford really needs a working boatyard that is accessible all year round. Almost 20 years ago the then British Waterways shut Castlemill boatyard and evicted all the boaters, putting boat builders Alchemy out of business. Boaters on the River Thames and Oxford Canal have been consistently let down and fobbed off by various developers ever since.
We need a boatyard run by and for the local boater community in Oxford, not another 20 year wait while the owner hopes the land will make him rich. Please sign and help get this yard back where it belongs, part of the Jericho community.
