Welcome to the National Bargee Travellers Association
The National Bargee Travellers Association (NBTA) is a member-led organisation of travelling boat dwellers –“Bargee Travellers” – and their supporters. We encourage our community to take action for the interests of the community as a whole. The NBTA provides support and advice to people whose home is a boat without a permanent mooring, throughout Britain’s inland and coastal waterways. We believe in mutual solidarity through our casework and campaigning. The NBTA acts to defend the legal rights of members and engages in lobbying to advance the interests of itinerant live-aboard boaters at both central and local government levels.
