The Environment Agency (EA) plans to re-open its waterways in England to navigation by 1st June 2020 at the latest (but you can still only stay overnight on your boat if you live aboard). This means that from 1st June, enforcement of short stay mooring time limits will start again. The EA says “If you are experiencing difficulty moving because you are isolating or shielding, please get in touch with your local waterways team”. The full EA update is here 20200519 _ FINAL approved NAV guidance note 5
Please contact the NBTA if you need assistance because of enforcement action against you while self-isolating, shielding or unable/unwilling to move because of other safety concerns.
