Cambridge Smoke Control Area consultation, respond by 20th April

Cambridge City Council is preparing to enact a Smoke Control Order that could include moored boats for the first time. The Council is consulting on whether moored boats should be included in a new Smoke Control Order.  This could fine boaters up to £300 for producing smoke from a chimney and/or burning wood in a non-Defra approved stove. Don’t let the council fine you for heating your home!

The consultation ends on Sunday 20th April 2025. See https://engage.cambridge.gov.uk/en-GB/projects/smoke-control-area-expansion to register your opposition to the Smoke Control Order against moored boats.
