Birmingham City Council is consulting on whether to use its powers under the Environment Act 2021 to include moored boats in a new Smoke Control Order. Tell Birmingham Council exactly why our homes will become uninhabitable in winter if we can’t use our solid fuel stoves! Tell them that while we agree climate change and poor air quality are existential threats, there must be justice in the transition to clean energy, and that includes justice to those who have no viable alternatives to fossil fuels for heating and power.
