Bargee Travellers are being encouraged to complete an NHS survey in order to alert GPs, hospitals and clinics to the barriers that we face gaining access to the health services all citizens are entitled to. If you have had problems registering with a GP, or your discharge after a hospital stay was delayed because you live on a boat, for instance, this is an opportunity to let the NHS know. The survey ends on 30th April 2019.
The survey is online here
https://www.healthwatch.co.uk/what-would-you-do
The survey asks you to say what council area you live in; there is an opportunity at the end of the survey to add general comments if you wish to say that you live on a boat without a permanent mooring and to raise issues that are not covered in the rest of the survey.
