The next Committee meeting of the NBTA is on Sunday 21st May 2017 in Rickmansworth at 2pm to 4.15pm. There will also be an open organising meeting immediately following at 4.30pm to 6.30pm. All members are invited to both meetings. The organising meeting is to discuss what the NBTA should do next to support its members, especially in the light of the upcoming general election, Brexit and the developing caseload in a context of the new national mooring policy being planned by CRT and proposed or recent changes on other waterways. If you are interested in being involved in the NBTA, this is the meeting for you.
The Rickmansworth Festival will be happening over the weekend 20th – 21st May. Both meetings will be on board The Wife of Bath at Festival Berth 37A on the Grand Union Canal between Batchworth lock (81) and Stockers lock (82).
The Wife of Bath will be flying the black and white “pirate cat” NBTA London flag and the NBTA National banner. The boat will be a focal point for NBTA information at the festival. Do come along to the meetings, and contribute to the NBTA’s future campaigning. Anyone who supports the NBTA is welcome to attend the organising meeting – membership forms will be available if people wish to join.
