CRT to introduce mooring strategy for its entire waterway system
The Canal & River Trust (CRT) moorings strategy for London announced on 29th April 2016 will be used as a template for the rest of the waterway system.
Jo Cox MP
We are shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic death of Jo Cox MP after a shooting and stabbing attack today. Jo Cox, the MP for Batley and Spen, was a liveaboard boater, formerly a continuous cruiser, and was a supporter of the NBTA. Our condolences go to her husband Brendan and their children.

CRT moves the goalposts again
When CRT made the announcement in March 2015 about the distance it expected boaters to travel in its new enforcement policy against those without home moorings, Bargee Travellers feared that this distance would be increased over time. It appears that the goalposts were moved after less than a year.
